Brian "Red" Hurley (born 11 September 1949) is one of Ireland's most enduring popular singers whose career has spanned several decades from the 1970s to the present day. He is principally known as a solo artist, although he has performed with various bands such as the Colours, Wheels & most notably the Nevada, with whom he enjoyed his first number one record. In 1976 he represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "When. Red is a legendary live performer consistently selling out live shows and concert tours. In February 2014, he performed a week of shows at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre and a second separate series of concerts, focusing on a retrospective of his greatest hits, is planned for autumn 2014 with performances at some of Ireland's most prestigious venues such as NCH Dublin and the Opera House, Cork.
