#Quote
[on the "Our House" musical] We'd got a great writer, Tim Firth. He didn't want it to be a biographical thing about Madness, but it tells of being in borstal, as Lee was, and split families, which most of us came from. It was a hit, but we spent too much on the sodding production. And there's nothing more cheery than passing the Queen musical, and seeing it on for its 12th fucking successful year.
#Fact
Was born on a Friday the 13th.
Madness continue to record and perform to this day, despite their lead guitarist's departure in May 2005. [January 2006]
DJ on the UK's Virgin Radio station. His show is in the early afternoon and he calls it the Afternoon Tea show. [November 2007]
His first job was as a butcher's assistant - making sausages and scraping lard off metal trays.
Madness spent more weeks in the U.K. chart than any other band in the 1980's.
In the early nineties he produced The Farm's no 1 U.K single 'All together now'.
At the band's first Madstock concert, an earth tremor was recorded of over 4 on the Richter scale as the fans danced to the opening of the song 'One Step Beyond'.
Had several solo hits between 1995-1998, including "I'm Only Sleeping", "Camden Town", "The Tune", "Cecilia" and "I Am".
Supports Chelsea Football Club
He has performed with the SAS (Spike Edney's All Stars) Band.
Lead singer of the pop group Madness.
He took his nickname of 'Suggs' from a jazz flautist named Pete Suggs
