Bernie Ecclestone Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018
Bernard Charles “Bernie” Ecclestone (created 28 October 1930) is a British business magnate. Therefore, he’s usually considered the primary authority in Formula One racing. He’s mostly described in tabloid journalism as “F1 Supremo”. His early participation in the sport was as a competition after which as a supervisor of motorists Stuart Lewis-Evans and Jochen Rindt. In 1972, he purchased the Brabham team, which he ran for fifteen years. As a team owner he became an associate of the Formula One Constructors Association. His management of the sport, which grew from his initiating the sale of television rights in the late 1970s, is primarily monetary, but under the conditions of the Concorde Agreement he and his businesses also handle the management, set up and logistics of every Formula One Grand Prix.
Ecclestone can also be the ex-majority owner of the English football club Queens Park Rangers. But when the heads of the ten teams met and agreed on some price-reductions later in the month, the race was again added to the calendar, along with a contract on 9 December ensured its continuance for five years. A two-day hearing commenced on 23 November, but after the proceedings had finished the following day, Justice Andrew Park declared his intent to hold opinion for a number of weeks. On 6 December 2004, Park read his verdict, saying that “In [his] judgment it’s clear that Speed’s contentions are right and [he] should thus make the statements which it requests.” Nevertheless, Ecclestone insisted the verdict — seen almost universally as a legal strike to his management of Formula One — would mean “nothing at all”. He said his intent to appeal the judgement. Two weeks after, Gerhard Gribkowsky, a board member of Bayerische Landesbank as well as the chairman of SLEC, said the banks had no intent to remove Ecclestone from his place of control.
He allegedly declined the C.B.E. (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) for his services to business in 1996.
