Vincent Pastore (created July 14, 1946) is an American celebrity. Frequently cast as a mafioso, he’s famous for his portrayal of Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero to the television series, “The Sopranos”.
Pastore has formed a career of portraying Italian American mafiosi in movie and television. He started with little parts in the 1990s, in movies like Goodfellas and Carlito’s Way. In Carlito’s Way, he impersonates among the buddies of the Italian guy that dances with Gail, whom Kleinfeld disses. He’s recorded in the credits as “Vinny Pastore” playing “Copa Wiseguy.” Pastore got a larger part in the comedy/crime film The Jerky Boys: The Movie (1995) as Tony Scarboni, among the three gangsters and Lazarro (Alan Arkin)’s customers. In 1999, Pastore got his largest role to date in The Sopranos, where he played the character Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero.
