She was one of several actresses on The Young and the Restless, to portray the character Ashley Abbott. She appeared on the cover of Playboy in April 1980. Shattuck makes an appearance in the 38 Special video "Caught Up in You". Shattuck appeared in a low budget erotic thriller Body Chemistry 3 during the 1990s. She also appeared on the science-fiction television series Babylon 5. She starred in the 1989 independent film The Spring and had a supporting role in the 1994 Steven Seagal action film On Deadly Ground. She appeared in an episode of "Shaky Ground" (a 1992-1993 comedy starring Matt Frewer and Jennifer Love Hewitt). The episode is entitled "Faulty Attraction" which aired on May 2, 1993. Shattuck's in "Faulty Attraction" as a woman who falls in love with the main character Bob Moody.
