Gabrielle Anne Carteris (created January 2, 1961) is an American actress known for her part as Andrea Zuckerman about the first seasons of the 1990s television series “Beverly Hills, 90210”. Gabrielle has a twin brother, James. Her dad was of Greek roots. Her parents split six months after her arrival. Carteris’s mom moved with her kids to San Francisco, California, where she set up a children’s clothing store. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1983 using a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. In the March 17, 2008 problem of People magazine, Carteris described an injury suffered while filming a TV movie in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2006, which partly paralyzed her face and changed her language for over six months. After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College, Carteris’s early television career found her usually cast as a teen in such fare as “ABC After school Specials”, “CBS School break Special”, as well as the long-running soap opera “Another World”. This tendency of playing significantly younger would continue when, in 1990, Carteris was cast in her best known character as studious school paper editor Andrea Zuckerman on Beverly Hills, 90210. At age 29, she was the oldest cast member to impersonate a 16-year old. She worked consistently as an actor and voice over artist, amassing a significant amount of post-90210 credits in television, movie, and video games. She is gone to become a mainstay on the made-for-television movie circuit, starring in almost a dozen such pictures. Her first, “Seduced and Betrayed”, was launched in 1995. She’s appeared in a number of feature films. Cateris supplied the voice for the Motorola intelligent helper, Mya.
