Lennart Meri was born on March 29, 1929 in Tallinn, Estonia as Lennart Georg Meri. He is known for his work on Veelinnurahvas (1970), Kaleva hääled (1986) and Linnutee tuuled (1978). He was married to Helle Meri, Helle Pihlakas, Regina Meri and Regina Ojavere. He died on March 14, 2006 in Tallinn.
Was a noted historian and ethnographer. Made several ethnographic movies in the 70s.
