Robert Gordon was born on August 21, 1913 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He was a director and actor, known for It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955), The Joe Louis Story (1953) and The Gatling Gun (1971). He died on December 1, 1990 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
He and Allison Hayes (Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958)) were quite an item around Hollywood in the early 1960s. They had a lot of dinners at The Sportsman's Lodge. Hayes wanted to marry Gordon (who was a couple of inches shorter than she was), but he was reluctant to divorce his wife.
