An ensemble member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago, Illinois since 1993, he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play in the same year for his lead performance in "The Song of Jacob Zulu".He is also known for his supporting roles in films such as Grosse Pointe Blank (1997), The Cider House Rules (1999), and The Dark Knight (2008) and for his recurring role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as "Mr. Trick".K. Todd Freeman is currently playing the role of "Dr. Dillamond" in "Wicked", replacing John Schiappa. Freeman has played the role in the !st National Tour and the Chicago production.
