Sammy White was born on May 28, 1894 in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. He was an actor, known for Pat and Mike (1952), The Bad and the Beautiful (1952) and Somebody Up There Likes Me (1956). He was married to Beatrice Curtis and Eva Puck. He died on March 3, 1960 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.
His first wife, Eva Puck, appeared as Ellie opposite his Frank Schultz in both the original 1927 Broadway production of "Show Boat" and the 1932 Broadway revival. Because of his divorce from Puck in the 1930's, White played Frank opposite Queenie Smith's Ellie in the 1936 film version of the show, and opposite Clare Alden's Ellie in the 1948 City Center production.
