Martin Vilhelm Ljung (15 August 1917, in Notviken, Luleå – 30 September 2010, in Stockholm) was a Swedish comedian, actor and singer.An apprentice blacksmith turned entertainer, his movie debut was in the 1947 movie Tappa inte sugen starring Nils Poppe.Ljung worked together with Povel Ramel for many years, and acted and sang in several of Ramel's revues, where he also performed comic monologues, including Ester and Fingal Olsson, which have become Swedish comedy classics.He also worked with Hasse Alfredson and Tage Danielsson, both in revues such as Spader, Madame! and Glaset i Örat (The Glass in the Ear) and movies such as Äppelkriget.
Had 2 children, Ann-Charlotte Ljung (born 1947) and Claes-Martin Ljung (born 1953), with his wife, Birgit Ljung.

Did the voice of "dad" in Povel Ramels song "Far jag kan inte få upp min kokosnöt" (father, I can't break open my coconut). The song is a cover of "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts.".

Worked as a movie theater projectionist before becoming an actor, "so I could see movies for free!" according to himself.
