Roy Plomley was born on January 20, 1914 in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England. He was an actor and writer, known for To the Public Danger (1948), Dr. Morelle: The Case of the Missing Heiress (1949) and Half Seas Over (1953). He was married to Diana Wong. He died on May 28, 1985 in London, England.
He was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1975 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to radio broadcasting.
