Clive Merrison was born on September 15, 1945 in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales. He is an actor, known for The English Patient (1996), Heavenly Creatures (1994) and Saving Grace (2000). He was previously married to Gillian Barge.
He (as Sherlock Holmes) and the late 'Michael Williams' (as Dr. Watson) are the only acting duo to complete the entire Conan Doyle canon of "Sherlock Holmes" stories.
