Bartolo “Buddy” Valastro, Jr. (born March 3, 1977) is an Italian American star chef, entrepreneur, and reality television persona. Since he started running the bakery; it’s come to popularity as a result of reality television show “Cake Boss”, which follows the operation of the company. The show premiered on TLC in April 2009. Because of the success of the show, the company has built a factory at Lackawanna Center in nearby Jersey City, which can be used as added space to build specialty cakes, along with the capacity to create baked goods for shipment throughout the united states. Because of the small number of space in the Hoboken place, the company was not able to provide cakes beyond ordinary driving distance in the bakery. The bakery had conducted a small trial net sale of pies in October 2009, to examine the viability of selling goods online. But, the team can barely convince Valastro to make pies as he said, “Pies are made from individuals. Cake Boss will not make-a pies!”
