Virginia Lee was born on July 14, 1901 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. She was an actress, known for Destiny's Isle (1922), For Love or Money (1920) and Sandy Burke of the U-Bar-U (1919). She died on January 14, 1996 in Englewood, Florida, USA.
Chosen to represent New York in the first Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, Virginia was placed in a special "professional" category due to her already established film career. She won awards in the "Inter-City Beauty Contest" as the most charming professional, and a second prize trophy in the "Bather's Revue".
