Susan Frances Harmar-Nicholls (born 23 November 1943), known as Sue Nicholls, is an English actress, best known for her long-running role as Audrey Roberts in the British soap opera Coronation Street. Having played Audrey on a recurring basis for six years from the characters's debut in 1979, she joined the cast permanently in 1985. She won the 2000 British Soap Award for Best Comedy Performance and the 2003 British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance.Notable roles for Nicholls prior to Coronation Street include, Crossroads from 1964-68 and The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin from 1976-79. She also appeared on Broadway in 1974 in the comedy London Assurance.
In 2011, while watching an episode of Coronation Street (1960), Anna Bianconi-Moore, a nurse within the dermatology department at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, spotted a mole on Nicholls' shoulder and immediately contacted the show via e-mail to express her concerns. Nicholls was seen by the show's medical team, before being referred to a skin cancer specialist, where she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. After the mole was successfully removed, ITV, the show's production company, contacted Bianconi-Moore to update her on the situation, and she was invited to the Coronation Street set, where she met Nicholls.
In 1968, she released a record called "Where Will you Be?", which peaked at number 17 on the UK singles chart. It remained in the top 75 for eight weeks.

She met her husband, actor Mark Eden, at a party in 1983, and they married ten years later. He went on to star alongside her in Coronation Street (1960) as villain, Alan Bradley.

Her father, Sir Harmar Harmar-Nicholls (1912-2000), was made a Baron in 1975. She then automatically became "The Honourable Miss Harmar-Nicholls".
