Michael Wayne Rosen (born 7 May 1946) is an English children's novelist and poet, the author of 140 books. He was the fifth British Children's Laureate from June 2007 to June 2009. He has been a TV presenter, Socialist columnist, and Republican advocate.
Served as production executive for the Television Academy, overseeing more than 30 projects annually - many for the Television Academy and the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Was Executive Producer for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation's Archive of American Television, the world's largest digital resource on the history of television. Produced 2,000 hours of documentary style video interviews with over 500 television legends including, Ted Turner, Mary Tyler Moore, Walter Cronkite, Sumner Redstone, Barbara Walters, Dick Wolf, Jerry Lewis, and John Frankenheimer. Co-founders are Grant Tinker, David Wolper, Thomas Sarnoff, and Dean Valentine.

Began his career working first as a script reader for producer Lauren Shuler Donner, and then hired by Shuler-Donner to be Nick Nolte's assistant on Three Fugitives (1989).
