Jerry Trimble Jr. was born in Newport, Kentucky. At 15 he was inspired by the late Bruce Lee and began studying the Korean art of Taekwon-Do. In six months he began teaching the art. He is officially one of the fastest kickers in the world.

In 1979 he switched from taekwando to kickboxing. He became very good and soon gained the nickname 'Golden Boy' after his first big wins in 1981. In 1984, he gained his 4th degree black belt. Jerry still trains with some of the most famous athletes and martial artists.

He was discovered for TV and movies after retiring in 1989. He has since then been in movies with some of the greatest such as Jet Li and Bolo Yeung. He was also nominated for the Taurus Award for his work in Charlie's Angels (2000).

He opened his own school; Trimble's Martial Arts and Fitness Center in Georgia. He now resides in L.A.
