Howard Morrison was born on August 18, 1935 in Rotorua, New Zealand. He was an actor, known for Don't Let It Get You (1966), Sir Howard Morrison: Time of My Life (1995) and Funny Things Happen Down Under (1965). He was married to Rangiwhata Ann 'Kuia' Manahi. He died on September 24, 2009 in Rotorua.
Founding member of the Howard Morrison Quartet in the mid-1950s with his brother Laurie Morrison, his cousin John Morrison and guitarist Gerry Merito. Wi Wharekura and Noel Kingi later replaced Howard's brother and cousin due to other commitments thus becoming the more popular Howard Morrison Quartet lineup ever formed. It was Howard who persuaded the latter members to join as it was a last minute thing.
