Bruce Lee Penhall (born May 10, 1957 in Balboa, California, U.S.) is a retired American motorcycle speedway racer who also starred in television and in film. He was the World Speedway Champion in 1981 and 1982 and rode for the successful Cradley Heath Heathens speedway team in the United Kingdom. He retired from speedway racing the night he won his second World Championship in 1982 in front of his home crowd at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Has four children: Devin, Ryan, McKenzie and Connor. Connor was killed by a drunk driver in 2012 when he was 21 years old.

Parents, Leroy and Bonnie Penhall, were tragically killed when the plane his father was piloting crashed in 1975.

In the '80s it was reported that his father bought property in Orange County and had a full size dirt race track built so Bruce could practice on it. Before getting a role in the TV series "CHIPS" for one year, he spent his time participating in car races and boat races.

He was the World Motorcycle Speedway champion of 1981-1982. Rode for the Cradley Heath (England) Heathens speedway team.
