Annie Ross was born on July 25, 1930 in Mitcham, Surrey, England as Annabelle Short. She is an actress, known for Pump Up the Volume (1990), Superman III (1983) and Short Cuts (1993). She was previously married to Sean Lynch.
Came from a Scottish show-business family and was the younger sister of the late, legendary Scottish entertainer, Jimmy Logan.

She was a child actress. She sang the song "Loch Lomond" on the Our Gang/Little Rascals short Our Gang Follies of 1938 (1937). She later worked with another Our Gang alumnus, actor Jackie Cooper in Superman III (1983).

Her 1963 album, 'Annie Ross Sings A Handful of Songs', was produced by film music composer John Barry. The same year she sang 'Time Waits For No Man', Barry's theme song for the controversial film, The Party's Over (1965).
