Brian Keenan was born on September 28, 1950 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He is a writer and actor, known for Witness: Another Kind of Freedom (1993), From an Evil Cradling (1999) and 2nd Irish Film and Television Awards (2004). He has been married to Audrey Doyle since May 20, 1993. They have two children.
Not to be confused with Brian Keenan (1942-2008), the late Irish Republican member who served a 13-year jail sentence for conspiring to cause explosions and later played a key role in the the Northern Ireland peace process.

Belfast-born writer who was held hostage in Beirut, Lebanon from 11 April 1986 to 24 August 1990. His book "An Evil Cradling" gives an account of the time he was held.
