She appeared in 67 silent motion pictures between 1908 and 1912.She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William Scott Hendrie (October 25, 1835–July 10, 1881) and M. Louise Morton (c. 1835-October 19, 1910). Her father was a physician.In about 1902, she and actor/director David Miles (c. 1871-October 28, 1915) were married, which they remained until his death.Anita Hendrie Miles died at age 76 in Brooklyn, New York. She is interred at Milford, Connecticut, with her husband.
