Patrick Fain Dye (born November 6, 1939) is a former American football player, coach, and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at East Carolina University (1974–1979), the University of Wyoming (1980), and Auburn University (1981–1992) compiling a career college football record of 153–62–5. Dye also served as the athletic director at Auburn from 1981 to 1991. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 2005.
Pat Dye was only the fourth coach in Southeastern Conference history to win three consecutive conference championships in football (1987, 1988, 1989). As of 2012, only five SEC head coaches have managed a three-peat (Robert Neyland, Paul "Bear" Bryant", Vince Dooley, Pat Dye and Steve Spurrier.
