Samson Iosifovich Samsonov (Russian: ??????? ?????????? ?????????; 23 February 1921 – 31 August 2002) was a Soviet and Russian film director and screenwriter, he was granted the honorary title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1991.Samson Samsonov graduated from Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in 1951, where he studied under Sergei Gerasimov.
