Heidi Lynne Fleiss (created December 30, 1965) is an American former madam, as well as a columnist and television personality frequently featured in the 1990s in American media. She ran a prostitution ring located in La, California, and is regularly called the “Hollywood Madam”. As of 2012, she resides in Pahrump, Nevada. Fleiss and reality TV persona Victoria Sellers (a buddy of Fleiss since their adolescents, although their relationship had hit the stone throughout the interval Sellers was interviewed for Broomfield’s documentary) hosted and created an instructional DVD titled Sex Tips with Heidi Fleiss and Victoria Sellers in 2001. She’s a regular guest on Fox News programs and is now featured in Maxim Magazine’s “Ask Heidi” column. During her appearance on Big Brother, she said that she doesn’t need kids, as she’d be a poor mom, and also would react to an unplanned pregnancy by terminating it—her precise words were “Thank God for abortion!”—this remark aroused angry responses from audiences. She failed to return for the ending; Davina McCall said Fleiss needed to look after some exotic fowl. (The report of exotic fowl is substantiated by Nye County declining to detain Fleiss for growing marijuana.)

I think it's unfair that men put laws on a woman's body. I think a woman has a right to choose with her own body. I mean, I don't think prostitution is a career ... but maybe [it is] a little steppingstone?

People don't realize that being a madam is hard work, and I was working all the time, and I was worn out from working, and I remember one night, I was out and a beautiful girl came up to me, and asked, who's answering your phone, and I thought, "Oh my god, I've got to go home and answer the phone -- because these girls need work.

I don't recommend prostitution as a career, but if someone wants to do it, let them do it.
