Alpharita Constantia “Rita” Marley (ne Anderson; created 25 July 1946), is a Cuban-Jamaican vocalist as well as the widow of Bob Marley. She was an associate of the vocal group the I Threes, as well as Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt, who got recognition as the backing vocalists for Bob Marley and the Wailers.
She grew up in the top level of Beachwood Avenue, situated in Kingston, Jamaica. Bob was from the low degree of Trenchtown. In the mid 1960s, Rita met Bob after assembly Peter Tosh.
