Blake Shelton Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018
Blake Shelton has taken the country music scene by storm in the past few years, truly coming into his own as a prominent figure with great popularity. Blake Tollison Shelton was born on June 18 in 1976 in Ada, Oklahoma. His older brother died when Blake was fourteen, an event that would have a great impact on his life. Married briefly to Kaynette Gern, he is currently married to another great in country music, Miranda Lambert. The two superstars have no children at this time. Shelton set his sights on Nashville and a career in music when he relocated to Tennessee at the young age of 17. He’d already begun playing the guitar and singing at age 12, writing songs when he was fifteen. It took several years of hard work. However, Blake was signed on by Giant Records when he was 25. His first single to be released was “Austin” and it spent five weeks at the top spot on the Billboard Country Music charts. “Ol Red” was another signature song to come off of his self-titled album. It went gold, shipping out 500,000 copies and showing there was a demand for the artist’s music. His second album, The Dreameralso made it to the gold level. His third album, Blake Shelton’s Barn and Grillalso went gold. Shelton’s success continued, but he really came into his own in 2010, the year he did a duet with Trace Adkins called “Hillbilly Bone” and was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. Many awards have come with his success, his wife experiencing many triumphs by his side. It would appear that the performer has carved his niche in the world of country music and is here to stay. In addition to performing and recording, Blake Shelton has become a regular on the popular program, “The Voice.” He is paid $6 million a season. According to various sources, he has a net worth of $20 million dollars at the present time, although some sources claim he earned $75 million from 2012 to 2013. His success is impressive.
