Jon Peters Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

In the early 90s, He purchased rights to the Superman movie franchise from Warner Bros. In his Q&A/humor DVD, An Evening With Kevin Smith, writer/director Kevin Smith related an anecdote about working for Peters when he was hired to compose a script for a new Superman film, subsequently called Superman Reborn, and afterwards renamed Superman Lives. According to Smith, Peters had expressed contempt for the majority of Superman’s iconic features by demanding that Superman was never to fly or appear in his hallmark costume. He also proposed Sean Penn as being perfect for the part, according to his performance as a death row prisoner in Dead Man Walking saying that Penn had the eyes of a “caged creature, a killer.” Peters subsequently demanded that the third action of the movie incorporate a fight between Superman and a giant spider, to be unveiled in a homage to King Kong. Peters afterwards made the 1999 steampunk western Wild Wild West, the ending of which features a giant mechanical spider. Smith fit them into his script, but the job eventually was left and also the script lost. I did not understand the human part of it, I did not have that.”
