To date Lil Zane has sold over 6,000,000 records. He was first understood by his supporters when he was in a group called kronic signed to RCA Records. They were signed from 1993 to 96. They never put out any jobs. Subsequently 1996 he went solo and started entering local Atlanta talent shows. Subsequently in 1999 he began touring with 112 while recording his debut record. In 1999, his first ever single, “Money Stretch”, was a part of the Next Friday soundtrack. The record also reach at #4 to the Top R&B/Hip Hop Records. To date the record has sold close to 300,000 copies . In 2003 Lil Zane released his second record, The Big Zane Theory With it, he officially changed his stage name from Lil’ Zane to just Zane. Copeland described “Zane is my actual name, that is the name that is on my birth certificate and my mother likes that name” for switching his name in a BallerStatus.net interview. The record did not match the success of Zane’s preceding record, as it charted at #191 on the Billboard 200’s graph with 6,423 copies sold. In addition, it charted at #39 to the Top R&B/Hip Hop Records. The sole single that premiered on the record was “Tonite I am Yours” which peaked at # 87 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Shortly after words Zane would leave Priority Records as a result of insufficient fiscal settlement, artist support, and promotion to take a 5 year hiatus from music to concentrate on his performing career. To date the record sold close to 40,000 copies. On December 30, 2004 it was declared that Zane has formed a brand new record label by the name of “3 Mill Entertainment” jointly with MAM Group, Inc. with it he declared that he’d began working on his third album, Under the Radar. The record was to feature artist like Actual Young, Raz B, John B, and Bone Crusher,Akon,Young Crunk additionally Rich Boy. In late 2006 Zane began to work on another new record Tha Return. The record was launched on February 26, 2008 selling under 2,500 copies its first week. The record did not match the success of Zane’s preceding records, as it did not make it to any Billboard charts. The sole single that premiered on the record was “Like This” which also did not chart additionally. To date the record sold close to 10,000 copies.
