Barry Barclay was born in 1944 in Wairarapa, New Zealand as Barry Ronald Barclay. He was a director and writer, known for Ngati (1987), Te Rua (1991) and The Feathers of Peace (2000). He died on February 17, 2008 in Omapere, New Zealand.
He was awarded the M.N.Z.M. (Member of the Order of New Zealand) in the 2007 Queen's Birthday Honors List for his services to the film industry and is based in Omapere, Hokianga, New Zealand.
