Edith Flagg (created November 1, 1919) is American fashion designer, former fashion industry executive, and philanthropist. She was raised in Galai, Romania, where her dad was employed as a photographer. She went to study trend in Vienna in the age of fifteen. When Hitler annexed Austria in 1938, she fled to The Netherlands and after Poland, where she chose the name of a dead girl to live.[ She immigrated into a kibbutz in Israel by the end of the war, before moving to America. She began her career in La, California as a seamstress in 1948. Her clothes-line, “Edith Flagg, Inc.” (1956–2000), was a apparel maker in the United States from the 1950s through 2000.
