Wayans’ dad was a supermarket supervisor and his mother a stay at home wife and part time social worker who have been really spiritual. The supermarket manager is the second-oldest of 10 kids, all of whom would make careers of humor and show business. The Wayans’ were a close knit family, where wit helped them through many rough times caused by monetary challenges. The Wayans attended Tuskegee University but dropped out to be a comic.
While performing as stand-up comedian in the 1980s, Wayans met Eddie Murphy as well as the pair worked jointly on Eddie Murphy Raw in 1987. The cooperation got Wayans found and he released his first movie, I’m Gonna Git You Sucka in 1988. The picture was parody of blaxploitation movies and was comparatively well received critically, or even commercially successful. Additionally, it led Fox to give Wayans a humor show, In Living Color, which will establish the careers of several of his relatives as well as other comics like Jim Carey, Jamie Foxx and David Alan Grier. The show was a success and won Wayans an Emmy. After four successful years, Wayans left to concentrate on his movie career.
Behind the camera as a director, yet, Wayans found his most success directing Scary Movie and its own sequel and White Chicks and its own sequel. Wayans was married once and shares joint custody of his five kids with his former wife.
