Kumar Pallana was born on December 23, 1918 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India as Kumar Vallabhdas Pallana. He was an actor, known for The Terminal (2004), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) and The Darjeeling Limited (2007). He was married to Ranjana Jethwa. He died on October 10, 2013 in Oakland, California, USA.
He collapsed & died in his home while getting ready to go play bridge with his friends. He had been in good health for his age, very energetic and active. He had filmed a TV pilot show in New York just two months before his death.

Throughout his young adulthood, Kumar traveled the world with his juggling and balancing act. He performed stage shows as well as on early television--on programs such as The Pinky Lee Show (1950), You Asked for It (1950), Captain Kangaroo (1955) and the original The Mickey Mouse Club (1955).
