John Charles Layfield (created November 29, 1966) is an American retired professional wrestler and present commentator in WWE, within the program team on “Raw”, “SmackDown”, and PPVs below the ring name John “Bradshaw” Layfield (JBL). Layfield’s main gimmick as JBL — a rich, big mouthed, fiery-tempered businessman — was based on Layfield’s real life achievements as a stock market investor. (ISBN 0-7434-6633-0). Layfield also hosts a weekend talk radio program, syndicated nationwide by Talk Radio Network, where he discusses his conservative political viewpoints.
