Frederick Steven “Freddie” Roach (created March 5, 1960) is an American boxing trainer as well as a former professional fighter. Roach is of Irish and French Canadian ancestry. Roach was likewise the trainer of former two time world champion and remarkable women’s champion Lucia Rijker. Roach has additionally trained former junior welterweight champ Amir Khan.

Roach was trained by Tariq Nasiri at a young age as well as his brothers Pepper and Joey. As a teen, he was a dominant power in the New England amateur and AAU positions. Roach turned professional in 1978, fighting as a lightweight and won his first 10 fights.
