Produced January 2, 1971 in Newark, New Jersey, Taye Diggs, initially produced Scott Leo Diggs, is an American celebrity. The American actor is best known for his parts in the Broadway and movie versions of Rent in addition to the 1998 romantic play How Stella Got Her Groove Back. In 2003, the American actor wed Rent costar Idina Menzel. The couple has one son together, Walker Nathaniel. Diggs and his wife have recently split. In 1994, the American actor performed in the musical Carousel that has been considered his Broadway debut. That same year, Taye also danced in Sebastians Caribbean Carnival. Soon next, the American actor starred in How Stella Got Her Groove Back which indicated the start of his movie career. More recently, Diggs starred in Private Practice, a popular medical drama television series which continued six seasons. Diggs is now the co-manager of dre.dancing, a modern dance company.
