Susan survived the very rare Cushings Disease and left her position as Executive Director at "The Astoria Performing Arts Center" (APAC) in 2005 in order to recuperate. During her recovery period she took a job at the law firm "DLA Piper LLP" in New York. In 2006 she transferred to DLA's Boston office in order to be closer to her elderly parents and began a career as an acting and singing coach in the Boston area.
