1According to her daughter, Wallace Earl tried out two stage names early in her career, Eileen Harley and Amanda Ames. Both Eileen and Amanda were names of close friends when she was young. Ames was the name she thought sounded best with Amanda. Later, she began using the surname Harley, which was a real family name on her mother's side.
2Had a step-sister living in Miami whom she didn't know about until she was in her mid-thirties.
