Rider King Strong (created December 11, 1979) is an American actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He’s famous for his character as Shawn Hunter on the 1990s sitcom “Boy Meets World”. Following the stage production, he appeared in small screen characters on television. In 1992, he received his first regular television series character as Julie Andrews’s son on Julie. When the show was canceled, Strong made his debut on picture as Amy Irving’s son in Benefit of the Doubt. It wasn’t until he was picked for the part of Shawn Hunter in the ABC show Boy Meets World which he received widespread acknowledgement. Throughout the seven-year run he was nominated twice for the Young Artist Award and nominated to get a Hollywood Reporter YoungStar Award. When the show finished, Strong returned to the big screen to star as Paul in the indie horror movie Cabin Fever, directed by Eli Roth. In 2006, he returned to television to get a regular show character in Pepper Dennis on the WB. The show was short lived and had not been selected as among the transferring shows to The CW Television Network. The exact same year, Strong recorded a reading for the sound variant of the Anthony Kiedis biography, Scar Tissue. He had a short cameo appearance in 2009’s Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, the sequel to Cabin Fever. In addition to his brother, Shiloh Strong, he composed and directed the short film, Irish Twins, which premiered in the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival. Talking to Pure Movies in 2010 he expressed that he wished to enlarge his writing and directing profession: ‘Performing is constantly there and I love it but it is kind of got a little carrying through recently. You know, I am in the low budget horror universe… I’ve a great deal of other things I’d like to do.’ The advertisement, submitted to MoveOn.org, became one of 15 finalists from a pool of over 1,100 submitted advertising, and was selected as the most amusing advertisement in May 2008. In 2010, Strong starred in the science fiction-thriller movie The Darkening Skies alongside Ezra Buzzington, Charley Rossman, Sally Berman, Daniel Kirschner and LaShan Anderson below the direction of Victor Bornia. In late 2012, Strong refused an offer to reprise his character as Shawn Hunter in the approaching spinoff, Girl Meets World. Nevertheless, during production of the pilot in March 2013, Strong along with other cast members, who have been also unconfirmed to return, appeared on the set starting rumors of a cameo or go back to the newest show. Originator Michael Jacobs said “I believe there is more than the usual chance, I believe there is a solid opportunity” when remarking on Strong as well as other first series cast members returning. Other present cast members remarked on Strong’s return suggesting that his return could be a secret not able to be shown.
