Supriya Devi (Bengali: সুপ্রিয়া দেবী) (born 8 January 1935), also known as Supriya Choudhury (Bengali: সুপ্রিয়া চৌধুরী), is an Indian Bengali actress, who has acted in Bengali cinemas for more than 50 years. Her real name is Krishna and nickname Benu. She received Banga-Vibhushan, the highest civilian honour in West Bengal in 2011.In 2014, She was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India, the fourth highest civilian award in India, for her contributions to the entertainment industry.
Born in Michkina, Myanmar (now Burma), she is the youngest of eight sisters and three brothers.

During WWII, a great number of Indians returned to India after settling in Burma. Supriya's family ended up settling in the southern part of Calcutta.

Started acting when she was seven; her father, noted lawyer Gopal Chandra Banerjee, made her play two roles in two plays directed by him (she played male roles in both).
Has a cooking show called 'Benu-dir Rannaghar' on Tara Bangla. She has also published a cooking book entitled 'Benu di'r Ranna-Banna' in which she has named several of her dishes after those who have tasted them (including several famous actors).
