Nnamdi Asomugha (/ˈnɑːmdiː ˈɑːsəmwɑː/ NAHM-dee AH-səm-wah;) is a former American football cornerback. He played college football for the University of California, Berkeley, and was drafted in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers. For many years he was frequently mentioned as one of the best shutdown corners in the NFL.

1Nnamdi appeared on the cover of the Aug. 8, 2011 issue of Sports Illustrated after signing a 5-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
2In 2007 Nnamdi formed ACTS (Asomugha College Tour for Scholars) a college mentoring program, through which he annually takes a group of high-achieving high school students from under-served communities in Los Angeles, The Bay Area, and Philadelphia, on an all-expenses paid trip to a city where they visit local colleges and universities. The Tour has visited New York, Boston, Washington DC, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Chicago.
