Back in the mid-1980s, Jeff had made a number of personal appearances in major toy stores and licensing events, dressed in large, heavy, molded plastic suits. The reason was, at that time, he was involved with one of the original promotional campaigns that brought The Transformers into the U.S. markets. His appearance characters were "Starscream" and "Grimlock" (both his autobot and T-Rex incarnations).
