David Cross Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

David Cross (created April 4, 1964) is an American stand-up comedian, celebrity, writer, voice artist, and comic, known mostly for his standup work, the HBO sketch comedy series “Mr. Show”, and his character as Tobias Fnke in the situation comedy “Arrested Development”. Cross created, composed, executive produced, and starred in “The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret”; developed and had a notable part in the Comedy Central animated situation comedy “Freak Show”; and has a recurring character in the ABC situation comedy “Modern Family”. Cross impersonated Ian Hawke in the live action / CGI “Alvin and the Chipmunks” movies.

Cross after costarred as Tobias Fnke in Arrested Development, that was initially meant to be merely a minor role. He’s also played smaller parts on programs such as Just Shoot Me!, The Drew Carey Show, News Radio, Strangers with Candy, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Cross also developed an animated series for Comedy Central called Freak Show, which costarred H. Jon Benjamin, and was cancelled due to low ratings. He’s appeared repeatedly to the MTV2 show Wonder Showzen. The movie satirized the reality television craze, and featured cameos from many stars; yet, Odenkirk got into battle with all the studio New Line Cinema, plus they subsequently released it direct-to-video. In 2013, he returned, making an appearance in a episode of Frank’s radio show, entitled “A Dialogue.” In 2004, Cross supplied voices to get a Marine in the Xbox game Halo 2, as well as a shop clerk named Zero in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. He’s also made guest appearances in the Adult Swim show Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!. He directed the music video for The Black Keys’ tune “10am Automatic”, a spoof of public-access television.

#Quote
1[on Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (2011)] This last film was literally, without question, the most unpleasant experience I've ever had in my professional life. It's safe to say I won't be working with some of those people ever again. Not the actors. And the director [Mike Mitchell] was great. We got along. There were a couple of people, though...it was just a really awful, unpleasant experience.
2[2012, on Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (2011)] All I wanted was to get the fuck out of there as soon as possible. They encouraged me to improvise and come up with funnier lines if I wanted. But my entire strategy on those movies was to come in on time, shoot as much as I could as quickly as I could and then get the hell out of there and buy a summer home with the check.
3(2012) I love nudity. It's just such an easy, cheap laugh. And it's fun to do. I have no qualms whatsoever about taking my clothes off for no reason.
4(2012, on working with Jim Belushi) We were working on a movie together [1995's Destiny Turns on the Radio], and his behavior was reprehensible, shitty and awful. I don't want to rehash what he did, but from that point on he was fair game. My girlfriend and I were visiting friends on Martha's Vineyard, and I saw in the local paper that Belushi was performing. We went to the show, and it was like $45 to see his shitty cover band, which is basically just a vanity project. I decided to hop on stage and dance with him. I got kicked off, and then I hopped on again. I thought it was hilarious that I got kicked out of the club. Jim Belushi is such a cock.
5[on drugs] I still get curious about whatever new drug comes down the pike. There was a long period when I indulged in drugs, but I don't think I was ever addicted to any of them. I do think crack is addictive. I smoked it once, and it was a huge wake-up call ... When it came time to get some more, I knew very clearly that if I stayed there-and I wanted to-my life would change right then and there for the worse. I never touched crack again.
