#Fact
She preferred to yodel in her bare feet, so she "could get a good toe-hold" when she yodeled!
She hand-made nearly all of her stage costumes.
Often performed her self-penned song "Three Miles South of Cash in Arkansas" at concerts, and coaxed other performers to join her in the yodeling part of the song. Some of the surprise yodelers included Walter Pidgeon, and Bob Hope!
While planning the release of her TV adventure series "Queen of the Range", manufacturers were set to produce 25 Carolina Cotton items, such as toys. When her series was shelved, the items were never put into production. However, at least one Carolina Cotton doll, and a few gun and holster sets were made.
While her radio show "Carolina Cotton Calls" was aired on the Armed Forces Radio Service, from 1952-1954, she received more fan mail and requests than any other performer.
