Aladdin (Arabic: ???? ??????, ?Al?? ad-D?n, IPA: [?ala?? ad?di?n]) is an Arabian folk tale. It is one of the tales in The Book of One Thousand and One Nights ("The Arabian Nights"), and one of the best known, although it was actually added to the collection in the 18th century by Frenchman Antoine Galland (see Sources and setting, below).
