1In the 1970's, her second husband director 'Peter Bognodovich' divorced her to be with starlet Cybill Shepherd. In the film Irreconcilable Differences (1984), a director (Ryan O'Neal) divorced his wife (Shelley Long) for a starlet (Sharon Stone). When Platt was asked about whether Irreconcilable Differences (1984) was inspired by her real life situation, her answer was: "They got more right than wrong".
2While writing the film that became Pretty Baby (1978), a biographical account of professional photographer E. J. Bellocq in mid-1910s New Orleans, she originally envisioned Jane Fonda as Hattie, Jodie Foster as Violet, and Robert Redford as the photographer.
3She was executive vice president of James L. Brooks' production company, "Gracie Films," from 1985 to 1995.
4She studied art at the Carnegie Institute of Technology and began her career as a costume designer for theater.
5She is survived by her brother, Jack Platt; 2 daughters, Antonia Bogdanovich and Alexandra "Sashy" Bogdanovichl a stepdaughter, Kelly Wade; a stepson, Jon Wade; 3 grandchildren; and 4 step-grandchildren.
