Hana Gartner (born 1948 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a Canadian television investigative journalist, best known as the host/interviewer of several programs for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.She currently resides with her son Gar, daughter Samm, and husband Bruce Griffin in Toronto, Canada.
One of Canada's top broadcast journalists, she has been with CBC-TV since 1974. She grew up in Montreal and graduated from Concordia University. She started her career at CJAD radio in Montreal. In 1974, she became the anchor of CBC-TV's Montreal evening news. The following year, she was given her own summer series, "In Good Company", at CBC-Toronto. In 1982, she joined "The Fifth Estate", CBC-TV's top current-affairs program.
